I worked with Kate Astle in the early stages of my career and found her
to be both articulate and meticulous. She was consistently exacting, and
never lacked creativity in her approach. I was always very satisfied with the work she did.

Lateral Line, Inc. had the good fortune to find Kate through a friend, and she has made a
world of difference with the copy on our site. She not only has an uncanny
ability to find errors and correct the most minute details, but also has the
gift of taking an idea/concept and articulating it in a concise,
professional and understandable manner. We will be using Kate for any
documents, copy etc. that are customer facing. I highly recommend her
services.

Kate’s persistence and talent took a jumble of ideas, dressed them up, and produced the text and the brochure for my recovery-related business last year. The message was true, the context perfect, the organization and presentation beautifully done. Her skill and patience resulted in a highly-praised piece of work; we retain her for all marketing and educational materials for the new phases of the enterprise. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

If Kate Astle had chosen to write a novel, I am sure she would have been a world-famous author by now; she can make anything interesting! She was the manager for our large periodontal practice in San Luis Obispo for many years, and during that tenure, we got a glimpse of her skill. Kate was able to write and edit all our newsletters, patient information paperwork, patient and doctor correspondence, and office policy documents; and people actually wanted to read them!! Anyone who can make Periodontics intriguing is truly talented---and the best part was that we never worried about the quality of information leaving our office; Kate’s intelligent research and attention to detail was always deserving of our highest confidence. We are thrilled to hear she has started another business; Kate is a Goddess of Words, and astle ink is all we need to know for our writing/proof-reading/editing needs.

A midlife decision to return to school came with many challenges. I entered college at the age of 47, thinking my desire and determination would carry me through to graduation. Reading, research, lectures: no problem. I understood the material. My nemesis was putting words to paper; I was terrible in English. My dear friend, Kate, offered to help me with my writing, and she was an angel sent from heaven. I’d write my papers and e-mail them to her for editing: my ideas were sound, but I was all over the map. Her gifts and abilities in the manipulation of the English language are truly amazing; she is an artist. She took the material I’d written and made it clear, organized, and alive. She could tame the essence of my thoughts and turn an entire unruly paragraph into one powerful sentence. She is an amazing woman. She made me feel good about what I’d written, and I always felt I could sincerely claim the paper as mine… with pride. I begin my doctorate work next year – thanks, Kate!

I was very fortunate to find Kate through our mutual friend and web designer. The idea of writing the text for my site and the promotional materials for an upcoming show of my work sent me straight to panic mode. I believe my first words to Kate were, "I can't talk about my work, because I feel I've said it all with the paint." She accepted the job anyway, did an interview that relaxed me, and assured me that she could articulate the meaning behind the images. She's intelligent, warm, insightful and funny and somehow manages to create order from my thoughts. I will absolutely be working with Kate again.

You wrote a very insightful review of my husband's new cookbook, "A Chef's
Bounty." It appeared in the Wine Press. A friend picked it up and was so
excited to see it that she cut it out and sent it to us. My husband, Bill
(William) King did not know of it, or of you. What impressed me the most was how you were so articulate in your description of
the book and Bill. He is a "renaissance man." Thank you again for your kind words and exceptionally written review.
